I'm an older woman who likes to dabble in many things. I've done a lot of pen and ink and pencil drawings, pencil sketches, some watercolor paintings, a little bit of acrylic, ceramics (pottery, sculpture, and finishing pieces from molds, usually with my own personal flair) and photography. My style runs towards comic or cartoonish, usually.
I have also done some decorating on eggs, as well as creating 3-D scenes inside of eggs. I plan on getting back into that eventually, as well as the drawing and painting.
I would love to learn photoshop techniques, but I only have a PSP8 program, and I've made little headway in learning to do actual art with it. I'm not too good at learning this stuff on my own.
Currently my passion is gardening, so consequently I spend a lot of time in spring, summer and fall in my gardens, which leaves little time for other artist pursuits.
I get out and do photography often, and carry my camera around as often as I can, as you just never know when you're going to come upon something that catches your eye, the perfect sunset, etc. This is something I recommend to anyone who is starting out in photography. Always have your camera ready to be in the right place at the right time.
